Piano Lessons For Children

Learning the piano is an ideal way to begin studying music. Most students at the age of 5 typically possess the finger dexterity required to play the piano. Proven studies indicate that children who take piano lessons enhance their eye and hand coordination, problem-solving skills, and increase their IQ. Additionally, they will develop self-discipline, experience a sense of proud personal accomplishment, and acquire valuable lifelong skills that will stay with them into adulthood.

During their first year of lessons, children should have daily access to a minimum of a 61-key digital piano with weighted keys, such as the Gordon-Bill-Piano. After the initial year of lessons, students are required to practice on a full 88-key digital piano with weighted keys or an upright acoustic piano. By the third year of lessons, students will need an upright acoustic piano for continued progression.

Students are expected to practice a minimum of 15-20 minutes per day for the first six months, gradually increasing to 30 minutes per day in the second year. Consistent practice will enable students to reap all the benefits mentioned above.

Piano Lessons For Adults

Whether returning to the piano or wanting to check off the bucket list, playing the piano is a great stress reliever.

More and more, adults are learning to play the piano for their own enjoyment, and many returning from a break are rediscovering a hidden passion. The rhythmic melodies and harmonious chords offer a therapeutic escape from the demands of everyday life.

Additionally, immersing oneself in the world of music fosters a sense of accomplishment and mental well-being. If you are worried that you may be too old to learn piano, I assure you, it’s never too late.

Our school has taught many adult beginners, and we can assure you that having music in your everyday life is a wonderful and enriching experience that transcends age and time.

We understand that adults are busy and not as flexible as children, so let us help you navigate toward your goal. Our tailored approach, led by seasoned instructors, is designed to make the journey of learning the piano a rewarding and achievable experience.

Lesson Styles

We offer both private lessons and group lessons, and the choice is entirely up to your preference. Here are the general advantages of each type of lesson:

Private Lessons

Private lessons, often referred to as “individual lessons” or “one-on-one lessons,” offer several advantages for learners in skill improvement.

Personal Attention

Instructors can pay close attention to each individual's habits and personality, enabling more personalized support.

Real-time Questioning and Clarification

Students can ask questions right away if there are any uncertainties or nuances that are not understood.

Exclusive Instructor Time

Lesson time is dedicated solely to the individual, without competition from other students, making it easier to maintain focus.

private lessons

Group Lessons

Group lessons involve multiple learners, as opposed to one-on-one interactions between the teacher and a single student.

Playing Together, Learning Together

When starting to take lessons for the first time, having fellow beginners around can provide students with a sense of security and encouragement. Also, for children who may feel nervous in a one-on-one setting with a teacher, a group class might be more approachable.

Less Personalized Attention

Group lessons lack the flexibility to customize instruction for individual progress and levels. Unlike individual lessons, which can provide personalized attention, group lessons are challenging for teachers to adapt to each student's unique circumstances. This makes it difficult to address both strengths and weaknesses with precision.

If you are not sure which type of lesson is suitable for you or your children, don’t hesitate to consult with us. We are more than happy to help.
